I was “dismissed” from my former employer under false pretenses. I was very uncomfortable with certain practices the company was taking part in. They felt unethical. I voiced my concerns about and shortly thereafter I found myself unemployed. My employer called it a “lay off,” but soon after, someone else that was performing essentially the same job duties that I had. It just didn’t feel right at all, so I investigated my legal options. I called a number of employment firms in town but was shot down. I also called Bayer & Borlase. The way they treated me was much, much different from those larger firms. They actually took the time to let me explain my situation in detail. While my case was far from a slam dunk, they wanted to represent me. Let me say that again. They WANTED to represent me when not a single other firm I spoke to would take my case. I’ve known a lot of attorneys in my time. Let’s just say that Alan and Heather’s proficiency and understanding of the law is very impressive. That knowledge and expertise gave me a very reassuring feeling that they were going to present the strongest case possible on my behalf given the circumstances with which they had to work. I had a rare peace of mind that helped me sleep at night, knowing that whatever tools they had available in their legal toolbox, they’d use them to their fullest. Their communication with me – and each other – was also outstanding. It was just obvious that Bayer & Borlase had it all under control and that I didn’t need to worry about anything. I took what my employer did to me very personally and emotionally, and Alan and Heather honored those emotions. Even though they were every bit as outraged as I was, they were completely professional in their approach toward my employer and their legal representation. It was all business – not personal in the least. They were meticulous, thorough and unyielding when it came to fighting for what I was entitled to. They painted a pretty dire picture for my employers if they took my case to litigation, but did so calmly and confidently. That strategy paid off. My case was resolved quickly and there’s not a doubt in my mind that I got the best settlement possible. I had such a feeling of elation knowing that it was all finally over, and that I got justice. We all know that attorneys have developed a pretty bad reputation for only looking out for their own economic interests. Trust me – Bayer & Borlase operates on a higher level. They’re interested first and foremost in justice – not lining their pockets. It was so refreshing. If someone were to ask me for a recommendation, I wouldn’t think twice about referring them to Bayer & Borlase. Back |
